Fifty years ago Pattaya was a sleepy little fishing village, it is Asias premier beach resort, and caters with equal appeal to families, couples and single visitors.

Pattaya’s three main areas are Pattaya Beach (central Pattaya), Jomtien Beach (south) and Naklua Beach (north). It doesn’t really matter where you stay as far as convenience, there’s places to go and eat almost everywhere in most areas and there are Song Thaews which are basically covered pickup trucks with seats in the back that can take you back and forth to all of these areas in a few minutes for 10-20 baht.

Pattaya is the ideal family holiday destination, where all people can enjoy a variety of activities at reasonable cost. Want to try something new? Pattaya is a great place for the adventurous traveler to explore. Get close to nature with an elephant ride at the elephant village, or spend time at the Noong Nooch Tropical Garden. Pattaya can be brash, bold, beautiful and bucolic, and offers everything and authentic international beach resort can.

With around four million tourists every year, Pattaya provides activities to suit all age groups and tastes, with many day-trips available by boat or car to surrounding attractions. For sure it’s a party city more than a quiet coastal destination, with plenty of activities both night and day. However you can escape to idyllic offshore islands, alternatively take the family to one of the amusement or themed parks, get in a round of golf, have fun with watersports, go shopping, do the spa ‘thing’, or enjoy the fun and slightly naughty night scene. Traditional Treatment Process For A Low Back Pain Patient and The DRX9000

Sidebar24 | Sunday February 22 2009 11:07 am | Comments Off

As our society continues to grow and our personal health diminishes due to poor eating habits or stress, the number of back pain problems may increase dramatically over the next decade. Traditional treatment methods for the relief of back pain have remained constant, but a relatively new treatment option referred to as non-surgical spinal decompression therapy utilizing the DRX9000, has demonstrated great promise in the treatment of chronic back pain. Up to this point, it has not been entirely integrated into the continuum of care in treating back pain, but that has not stopped many physicians from offering or recommending the treatment to their patients.

There are hundreds of doctors among the various specialties that are currently offering this treatment option. Most specialists offer back pain sufferers some sort of technique or a particular level of expertise. Although the backgrounds and expertise of physicians that offer this particular treatment option may vary, the outcome of the DRX9000 protocol and the health benefits that result from treatment on the DRX9000 remain consistent.

The Initial Process

Most back pain sufferers begin their treatment process at the general practitioner’s office. Considering back pain is a common problem, it would be easy to assume that the general practitioner is an expert in the treatment of back pain. This may not be the case.

The primary care physician will assist in determining if the pain is serious or not. After reviewing the medical history and the test results of the patient, the primary care physician will then determine what the next step should be. Pain medication, bed rest and exercise may be prescribed. In addition, a visit with a back pain specialist may be recommended.

Back Pain Doctors Who May Offer the DRX9000 Treatment

In the past, chiropractic care was not given much attention by the medical community. However, chiropractors are now considered to be the alternative treatment experts by providing care through spinal adjustments. Similar to how medical doctors have distinct specialties, chiropractic care techniques may differ among chiropractors.

Osteopaths look at a patient from a more “complete” point of view. They may look into environmental, stress, social, psychological and physical factors. Although an osteopath may prescribe pain medication and surgery, they focus more on the relationship of the organs and the musculoskeletal system. Emphasizing a holistic approach, osteopaths focus on the benefits of spinal manipulation.

A physical therapist manually focuses on the joints, muscles and soft tissues. Along with prescribed treatment, a physical therapist may also educate patients on how to properly stretch and move about with a painful back. Most physical therapists today specialize in spine and neck therapy.

A medical doctor who specializes in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and spinal cord injuries is the physiatrist. A physiatrist may also have a subspecialty in sports medicine. They may treat back injuries or post-surgery problems with epidural injections. However, considered to be experts in non-surgical treatment options, a physiatrist may stick to an exercise regimen and the use of back braces.

As a bone and joints specialist, an orthopedist may meet with patients at all levels of care. An orthopedist may prescribe drugs, along with tests to determine if a patient is a surgical candidate. Even though orthopedic surgeons administer surgical procedures, they often treat patients non-surgically.

Neurosurgeons diagnose and treat disorders of the spine, nerve tissue and peripheral nerves both non-surgically and surgically.

As more back pain specialists learn about the healthcare benefits of utilizing the DRX9000 for the treatment of back pain, the more likely it is to be offered by most specialties. Although non-surgical spinal decompression therapy has not yet been incorporated into the established curriculum of back pain care, it may not be long before it is considered the standard for the treatment of back pain.

If you are suffering from a back pain condition and would like to find out if you’re a candidate for this procedure, contact your nearest DRX9000 physician to learn more.

The Master Cleanse Diet

Sidebar24 | Saturday February 21 2009 12:26 pm | Comments Off

During my research into fasting, I came across the Master Cleanse diet, and I discovered it to be highly regarded in the fasting world. Most recently it was brought into the media’s attention again by Beyonce giving credit to the cleanse for their getting into shape.

Reports of other’s experiences were very encouraging to me and gave me an idea of what to expect. I contacted a few people about thier experiences with the master cleanse and some did not get past day 2 or 3 which appears to be where most stumble. As most fasts require not eating I have never been able to stick with it for more than a day. Technically, being a juice fast the master cleanse does offer some sustenance (the lemonade drink used for the cleanse is also why it is called the lemonade diet by some.)

The Master Cleanse follows a simple routine, however it isn’t exactly easy. Even with so few rules to follow it can be trying due to the will power required to get past the first few days. Luckily I came across a book (master cleanse secrets) that gives you lots of tips and tricks to make the master cleanse a much smaller challenge.

It is hyped a lot for the weight loss one can achieve but I’m not over-weight so that is not why I am interested in it. I did it for the toxin cleansing benefits. I felt really tired and sluggish lately and enough people have told me how much better they feel after a fast that I went for it once more.

From what I’ve been reading the typical amount of time spent on the master cleanse diet is ten days, although it is not uncommon for people to stay on the cleanse for longer periods of time. I had no intention of going longer than 5 days as a trial run to see how I reacted. Considering I never made it past 2 days before that was quite an accomplishment.

With the secrets book as my guide I was able to look up issues and find answers to questions that enabled me to stick with it. Just from reading it I had much more confidence in my chance of success. That confidence translated into success.

Another good thing was the timing was perfect as I had recently spoken with my doctor about fasting. If you are thinking of trying this or any kind of fast you should definitely clear things with your doctor first. It’s your health don’t play games.

The final verdict: I feel much better after the 5 days and I am considering doing it again. Next time I will shoot for the full ten days. One tip I can give you is to not jump right back into your old diet, especially if you have a bad McDonald’s habit. You will get excellent guidance on how best to handle that.)
