One of the most exciting and rewarding moments of my life happened when I gave birth to my daughter Amy. Even since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a mother. I remember dressing up my cat and pretending to be my baby. After I got married, it took a long time for us to finally decide that it is the right time. Thankfully, when the time was right, we were able to have our wonderful and beautiful Amy very quickly.

Now that she is home from the hospital, there are a number of things that I want to accomplish. Getting enough sleep is one of them while the other is decorating my little girl’s room with proper kids room decor and girls bedding. I recently begun diving into home decorating books and articles for great ideas on how to decorate a girls room. From these books, I was able to get some great ideas. The premise is that I need to come up with a grand theme or design first and work around it. I am thinking that either a princess theme or a mermaid theme would be very fun for Amy.

Not that it is time for it yet, but I am also thinking how to decorate a teenage girls room when the time comes. I suppose it all depends on her personality, likes and dislikes at the time. But the main principles should remind the same. I think that girls are girls and decorating their rooms should not be any different than a little girls room. With the proper eye on wall decors and area rugs, I am sure I can do a good job of it.
