Overcoming the problem with weight gain is often a difficult thing.  In order to have gastric bypass stomach surgery, you are going to have to see a doctor who will recommend several options for you.  You will probably need to see a psychiatrist in order to find out why you have a problem with overeating.  You may also need to attend dietary classes that will help you to see that there are alternatives to the surgery.  Do not be too quick to go in for the surgery if you’re able to lose your weight naturally.  The surgery is something that you’re going to have to live with for the rest of your life, so are any complications that it causes.

Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy is a relatively new operation. It may be done as a standalone procedure for patients who don’t have much weight to lose. It may also be done as part of a staged operation for high-risk patients with a body mass index of 60 or more. In this case the Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy may precede a gastric bypass or duodenal switch.

With any surgery you can have problems.  There are many different gastric bypass surgery complications that could happen whenever you have this procedure done.  Some of the main complications that you may need to be concerned about are an infection that could set in and cause you to have more surgeries done.  It may also be that you have trouble for the rest of your life because of the small amount of food that you are able to eat after the procedure is done.  It is certainly not something that you should enter into without seriously considering the possible consequences.
