Remedies for Loud Excessive Snoring

Life isn’t always fair, is it? Your partner has to endure all of your snoring while you get to sleep right through it. The ultimate irony is that you get to pass the misery of your condition to your partner. If you truly care about your partner, you’ll find a way to stop your snoring. The best way to stop snoring is to prevent snoring before it starts.

Always sleep on your side or stomach if possible, not on your back. The muscles in your throat relax as you sleep causing an obstruction to your airway. Sleeping on your back only increases the obstruction.

The best non-medical solution for many people has been found in a good snoring spray. Many of these sprays are designed to keep your throat muscles from relaxing too much and blocking your airway.

Also, being overweight can, in itself, cause you to snore. Extra body weight also means that you have extra fatty tissue in your throat, and that will only make your problems worse. You may find your snoring will go away with the extra weight, if you’ll lose it.

Remember, too, that drinking alcohol before bed, taking cough or sinus medicine, and even smoking can also contribute to snoring. Stay away from anything that can relax your throat muscles and add to your snoring problem.
