The usual indication of pregnancy that women look for, the missed or late period, may vary from woman to woman. Within the first week of being impregnated, some women will notice early pregnancy symptoms. Not all women will experience early warning signs of pregnancy for a few weeks and maybe not even then.  Always contact your doctor when having any symptoms of being pregnant or tubal pregnancy symptoms.

In about 6 to 12 days the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will have some spotting and a little cramping when this happens.   Most women recognize the missed period as an early indication of pregnancy and if there has been sexual activity she needs to get a pregnancy test. It is normal to miss the next period after becoming pregnant. There are a few women do still continue to have menstrual periods but they will be very light and for a very short time.

Somewhere in the first or second week after impregnation the breasts of the woman will be sensitive and engorged. The areola of the breasts will get deeper in color. Fatigue is a symptom that begins in the first week after becoming pregnant. Call your physician or nurse practitioner when you exhibit any bleeding during pregnancy.

Most women will have nausea in the early stages of pregnancy and will even experience it for the rest of the time they are pregnant. Most women will have morning sickness anywhere from two to eight weeks but other will never have nausea. Yet another early sign is pain in the lower back area that will probably continue as a dull ache. The hormones will be changing in the early stages that may cause head ache pain.

Having to urinate more than usual is another sign of pregnancy and this begins about six week after the conception. Cravings for certain foods will begin and signal that the woman is pregnant. These cravings may not include the old pickles and ice cream combination but certain foods will become more appealing during the pregnancy. To ensure the safety of yourself and possibly that of your baby it is best to use a home pregnancy test and then follow it up with a visit to your health care professional.
